  1. Going back to school after summer break was never really hard for me. I loved the social aspect of school. The 3 minutes between the next bell was crucial - who to talk to and what about was key! I never really cared for my homeroom teacher, who was our librarian. She and I didn't see eye to eye as I was a loud, obnoxious chatty catty - and she was well, the librarian. So, that would be a part of my day that I dreaded, having to sit with her for 20 minutes. haha

I love this skirt - and would love to see my daughter wear it on her first day of first grade this fall.

  7. I loved the first day of school and my new clothes! These days, it's sort of sad for me to watch my now 7 year old and (almost 2nd grader) get ready as she heads off for another year. But, this skirt would help me feel the excitement again! It's wonderful!

  15. My fondest memory of going back to school is shopping for school clothes.
When my mother and I were done, our last stop would be the fabric store for ribbons for my plaits (pigtais). Haven't thought about that one in years.
My son starts pre-k this year I'll have to start a back to school tradition with him....

    I hearted you Esty shop

  22. As others have mentioned, I use to love going back to school because of the social aspect. Going to school before the days of social media sites like Facebook, a big portion of your friends you didn't talk to much over the break.

  31. A new school year ment time to start over with supplies. My grade-school days I had a serious obsession with folders and binders, I wanted way more then I really needed. The perfect time to stock up was the first week of school because I would exaggerate how many I actually needed to get a fantastic assortment. Looking back im sure my mom knew but she never seemed to mind.

Your shop is darling and so are your designs.
